Main purpose and scope of the job

Our client is looking to appoint a Multi Skilled Plasterer who will report to the Site Manager. The successful candidate will be an experienced plasterer who takes pride in their work and can work safely and efficiently.

You will work as part of a helpful and friendly team, completing repairs and improvement works safely, efficiently and to a high standard. They are searching for candidates who possess a positive ‘can do’ attitude with at least two of the following trades;

Joinery
Plumbing
Plastering (Must Have)
Tiling
Groundworks
Roofing

They are a series of managed offices, residences and construction sites, so they are looking for an individual who can envision the highest standard for each area and conduct themselves appropriately at all times. They would like to welcome a well-mannered individual with a ‘can do’ working attitude and a sunny disposition.

Duties and key responsibilities

Safely assess workspace and task requirements
Cost efficiently source correct materials and report to office for ordering
Comply with on-site Health and Safety requirements
Apply appropriate finishes to a range of wall and ceiling surfaces
Support other team members in safely completing projects/tasks
Ensure work conforms with Building Heritage Requirements
Experience of using lime-based finishes desired
Experience in repairing Lathe Plaster and Heritage features desired
Experience in repairing decorative coving desired

To succeed in this role

You will need

NVQ Lvl3 in a core trade or equivalent desired
Fantastic organisational skills
Ability to carry out work safely within construction environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
The ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload
Willingness to train an apprentice/trainee
A logical thought process
Strong interpersonal and verbal communication
